Ihlara Valley scenery on the Cappadocia Green Tour route

Cappadocia tour comparison

Cappadocia Green Tour vs Red Tour

The Green and Red routes are both full-day, guided Cappadocia tours, but they cover different parts of the region. The right choice depends on whether you prefer an underground-city and valley-walk day or the best-known northern landmarks.

Choose the Green Tour for southern Cappadocia

The published Green Tour route combines Kaymaklı Underground City, an approximately 3.5 km Ihlara Valley walk, Selime Monastery, Pigeon Valley and a volcanic onyx workshop. It suits travellers who want varied terrain and do not mind spending part of the day walking.

Choose the Red Tour for northern landmarks

The published Red Tour route focuses on Göreme Open Air Museum, Love Valley, Paşabağ, Uçhisar Castle and Devrent Valley. It is the stronger fit when your priority is Cappadocia’s best-known open-air heritage and fairy-chimney landscapes.

What is included and what does it cost?

Both regular tours publish a starting price of €70. The verified inclusions for each are an English-speaking guide, museum entrance fees, lunch, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Drinks with lunch or beverages and personal expenses are not included. Final availability and price are reconfirmed for your date.

Can you do both?

Travellers with two full touring days can request both routes because their principal stops do not duplicate one another. If you have only one day, choose by route rather than by colour: underground city and valley walking for Green; northern landmarks and open-air heritage for Red.
